4/30/2023 0 Comments Isla nublar optimal layoutSometime after the events of Jurassic Park III, Simon Masrani, the new CEO of InGen following John Hammond's passing, built a new, much larger dinosaur theme park, and Jurassic World, in the southern part of Isla Nublar. The dubious legal status of the island ensured the Isla Nublar population remained relatively undisturbed until the early 2000s when the Masrani Group began construction of Jurassic World. They also recorded they had discovered the remains of adolecsent Velociraptors (suggesting the presence of a sustained population on the island) and the presence of Compsognathus, a species bred on Isla Sorna but which had never been transported to Isla Nublar (it was suggested they hopped between islands via cargo ships). Their report, published in 1996, documented the state of the park and noted that while animal numbers were reduced, a relatively stable ecosystem had been established. In 1994, an InGen clean-up team went to the island to perform an analysis of the incident and record the current state of the island's dinosaur inhabitants. In the end, 13 people, including Nedry, had died and all dinosaurs on the island were unleashed and all survivors were sworn to secrecy, although Malcolm went against this and tried to reveal what had happened only to become an outcast, and the island was kept from the public for years, until the San Diego Incident, although some people confused the two islands as one. During a tropical storm, Nedry hacked into InGen and uploaded a virus that shut down the power and unleashed the dinosaur population onto the people on the island. But after an incident involving a worker died at the "claws" of a raptor, Hammond had sent for an endorsement group, including Alan Grant, Ellie Salter, and Ian Malcolm. InGen was searching for a tropical island to build a dinosaur zoo and Isla Nublar met the requirements. This zoo would eventually be called " Jurassic Park". Nonetheless, from the sixteenth century onward, many of the Tun-Si had to leave the island. Their presence on the island was terminated in the early 1980s by the InGen corporation. The Tribe were mostly fisherman and for peace on the island. The island was subsequently abandon and all the remaining dinosaurs that weren't rescued went extinct and with the only survivors are the pterosaurs, and marine reptiles.įor thousands of years, the Island was the home of a tribe of Bribri-people tribe that called themselves Tun-Si (Water Men). It is said that at the time, the island was called Guá-Si (meaning "Water House", or, "House beyond Water"). During the subsequent eruption, however, a team of mercenaries hired by Eli Mills recovered many species of dinosaurs, including the original T-Rex and Blue. the Dinosaur Protection Group were planing to rescue the majority of the islands species. Sibo roared to life, threatening to destroy all the living things on the island. After over ten years of successful operation, another containment breach by the Indominus rex resulted in the destruction of the park and the abandonment of its dinosaurs.Īfter the accident in 2015, the island's volcano, Mt. The park was closed and abandoned before it could open due to multiple containment breaches, but was later reclaimed and successfully served as the site of a new tourist park, Jurassic World, which opened to the public in 2004. The Hero4 Session's not the first square camera, but as this patent reveals, GoPro's been working on this design for some years now. This configuration also means audio shouldn't be as muffled, which is often a problem when inside a case. The Hero4 Session also introduces a dual microphone setup that auto switches between the two when one detects too much wind or noise, a first on any GoPro. Inside that waterproof cube is a nonremovable battery, a microSD card slot and - hurrah - a micro-USB port (rather than GoPro's traditional mini-USB). The trick is that the Hero4 Session is submersible to 33 feet (10 meters) without needing a case. It's about 50 percent smaller than a Hero4 Black in its waterproof housing, and around 40 percent lighter. With that new design, GoPro's pulled off a bit of a magic trick. As for photos, the Session shoots in 8-megapixel wide-angle, or 5-megapixel medium, with time lapse and burst modes (up to 10 photos per second). There is, of course, a notable absence of any 4K, or even 2.7K modes that we see on the Silver and Black edition Hero4 cameras. The full list (there are many more variations) is not as exhaustive as the Hero4 Silver or Black, but all the most used slow-motion and 4:3 perspectives (good for point-of-view shots) are there. It also has many of the modes existing GoPro users will be accustomed to: 1440p (4:3) at 30 fps, 720p at 100 fps, 960p (4:3) and so on. ![]() ![]() The Hero4 Session shoots video up to 1080p at 60 frames per second (fps). 4/30/2023 0 Comments Sketchbook pro stylus![]() This makes the app listen only to the stylus. McCall suggests investing in one "tiny company", which of course I'll be exposing in a bit. ![]() So, how the heck do you get in on this opportunity? He explains that the average life of today’s typical Li-ion battery is between 300 to 500 charge cycles before its capacity to store energy starts to degenerate, but with the quantum glass battery, it can apparently be recharged for over 100,000 times without losing its quality. Matt says matter-of-factly that the quantum glass is virtually irreplaceable since it can last up to 150 years. ![]() It's sounding pretty darn good, and what's more is that this quantum glass battery is said to fully charge in 60 seconds and is expected to go 1,000 miles on a single charge. There are the automotive companies like GM, Ford, Toyota, BMW, Honda, Nissan, and Volkswagen and many more. Of course, the teasers are never complete without the names of industry leaders already rushing to be the first ones to get in on the action. McCall claims that this new battery tech he's teasing has also been called the “forever battery”, “the battery that could change the world”, the “holy grail” of energy storage, and even going so far as to call it the “Jesus battery”. lots of talk about how great they are.Īnyways. In his report, he alleges that a certain technology can thrust the electric vehicle industry into a $3 trillion one. Do keep in mind that there might be a number of variations for this teaser, but we’re going to talk about this one, titled: “Breakthrough 'Quantum Glass' Battery Will Ignite the Global $3 Trillion Electric Car Revolution”. The photo below is from the teaser I found by Matt McCall. This pitch goes down the typical “tiny unknown company” route. In this article we are going to investigate and expose the stock in Matt McCall’s teaser which he calls the “Quantum Glass Battery”. We’ve been teased about batteries that last much longer than lithium-powered batteries before, but what about “quantum glass”? So then, what the heck is Matt McCall's "Quantum Glass" battery stock. And when it comes to investing, advancements in any industry could be big money makers for the public. Plus an AVR will let him add a sub in future. Actually any time I've seen a measurement of room correction the un-EQ'd response is never flat.* My buddy had a 10 dB hole from 50-130 Hz! I'd then vote for an AVR with good room correction if you really want flatter bass because yes bigger speakers might have too-strong midbass. Then trying to reproduce that results in the woofers just slamming around without producing the bass because the port acts as a short circuit. And small speakers are almost always ported, and tuned well above the lowest notes (like 41 Hz on a bass guitar, or the hearbeat in Dark Side Of The Moon). Even tower speakers though depending on the seating those might be too low. That really low stuff still requires moving a lot of air even in a small room. I'd heavily vote for bigger woofers, especially if your nephew is learning to play bass he probably wants to listen to it. So how loud is too loud? I once measured 117 dB in my dorm room and that was before a wealthy roommate bought a giant amp. However, you may want more from your speakers than the Sonys can provide.Ĭlick to expand.OK, this is a young male. Speakers and receiver could probably be had for around $200. If you want to use a turntable you'll need one with a presamp or buy a separate preamp. One problem, it does not come with a phono preamp. It is Bluetooth capable (but I've had problems establishing a link), and it comes with a decent remote. It can support A and B speakers, but you must be careful per total Ohms. It's ability to pull in FM is surprising. It has a nice clear sound with good imaging. The receiver pushes 100 Watts per channel. They can be purchased for less then $100 a pair when on sale. But the bass is there, it's simply not dominant. Obviously they lack a bit on the low end as the woofer is about 5". They provide a clear high end sound with good separation. They really benefit much when placed on stands and moved a bit away from the wall on their back side, as that's where Sony placed a port. They have a nice pleasant sound especially in a small room. As of now, I have them in use with my Audio Technica ATLPWM40M turntable and my Yamaha RS 202 receiver.
